Our history

The school grew out of a technical college opened on this site in the late 1950s, and has been a secondary school since 1965.

It gained Advanced Level status in 1992, became Bulawayo's pilot technical high school in 2023, and celebrated 60 years in 2025.

[School's Own History To Be Added: the exact founding date, past School Heads and milestones the school wants to mention.]

The first headmaster of the secondary school was Mr Harold Edwards, followed by Mr Griffiths Malaba. Some notable alumni include Professor Welshman Ncube, lawyer and politician, Dr Wedu Ndebele, specialist paediatrician, the late Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Charles Ndlovu, and footballer Geoffrey Ndlovu.
