Practical training

Technical subjects combine theory lessons with hands-on work. Learners complete practical projects as part of their ZIMSEC assessment.

In 2023 the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education named the school, then Luveve High School, as the pilot technical high school for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, one of ten in the country.

The school was also designated for aviation studies in 2023. [Start date and details of aviation lessons to be confirmed.]

Under the pilot, learners at technical high schools are to be trade tested as they progress, at Class 3 in Form 2, Class 2 in Form 4 and Class 1 in Form 6. [Whether trade testing has started at the school to be confirmed.]

Technical High School projects under way at the school in 2026 include the rehabilitation of the Senior Lecture Theatre and the fitting out of an E-Library Centre.
